Why Design/Build
Design/Build, also known as single-source responsibility, is an interactive effort in which all company team members - from craftsmen to foreman to crew to designer to client - are involved in the building process from the start and work as a single entity under contract with the owner.

  1. providing a single source for quality, cost and schedule management;
  2. eliminating redesigning and unnecessary construction drawings;
  3. reducing problems due to adversarial relationships;
  4. ensuring better communication between project participants;
  5. emphasizing team work from conceptualization to the finished project;
  6. creating a greater degree of cooperation between the design and construction phases of the project;
  7. including the owner as an important member of the team and requiring owner commitment of resources to the development of the project.

Design Process
On Site Consultations and Estimates:
An onsite consultation with a member of our design staff is typically the best way to begin planning your landscape project. During this meeting we will walk the property and discuss the ideas, expectations and priorities of the individuals involved. From this meeting the architect/designer will be able to decide if a design is necessary or a Cost Analysis can be given.

Design:
If a design is needed a Design Proposal is written. The Design Proposal includes the cost of the design, how long the process will take and what items and/or areas are to be addressed with the design. If the proposal is accepted, the architect/designer will prepare a preliminary plan, present it to the client and make any changes that are necessary. A Master Plan is then completed and presented with a Cost Analysis that outlines the pricing to have Native Edge Associates Inc. implement the design.
