This project involved the complete design and construction of the residence’s rear yard. The design objectives were to provide a landscape that would have adequate usable outdoor living spaces for the family, screening from neighbors, long lasting resale value, efficient irrigation, and the integration of the residence into the landscape. We met these objectives by first scraping the existing landscape and re-grading. Then we added brick veneered seat-walls around existing concrete pad to provide seating, enclosure and to bring the architectural masonry into the landscape. We also stained the existing concrete pad. We then Installed a 500 sf buff flagstone patio, berm with a natural water feature, and planting and turf zones irrigated by 100% subsurface drip system.
